AV RACKS is a Cache Robotics brand making 19 inch rack cabinets in four sizes: 6U, 18U, 27U and 42U. Every cabinet ships with a UK standard aluminium shell PDU, one or two cooling fans depending on size, and threaded mounting rails. All four are held in Dubai stock and distributed across the UAE and GCC by Cache.

Threaded rails, no cage nuts
Every cabinet has threaded rail holes as standard. No fishing cage nuts into square punches with a screwdriver, no skinned knuckles, and a noticeably faster rack build on site.

Power and airflow included
A UK standard aluminium shell PDU ships with every cabinet, along with one cooling fan on the 6U and two on the 18U, 27U and 42U. Power distribution and airflow are covered from day one.

One footprint, four heights
All four cabinets share the same 600 x 600 mm external footprint in the 19 inch format. Standardise your equipment room drawings once and reuse them at any scale.
04 / Rack sizing
What a U actually means
Rack equipment is measured in rack units, written as U. One U is 44.45 mm, or 1.75 inches, and it is the vertical spacing defined by the 19 inch rack standard that almost all AV and network equipment is built to. A 1U switch takes one unit of rail space, a 2U amplifier takes two, and so on up the cabinet.
The U number on a cabinet describes its usable mounting capacity, not its overall size. Our 6U cabinet, for example, offers six units of rail space inside a 350 mm tall enclosure. When you size a rack, add up the U heights of everything you plan to mount, then leave working room for ventilation gaps, cable management and the equipment you have not bought yet. Racks fill up. They never empty out.
